Well it's that time, everyone! Well actually...it's kinda past that time. My first manga by the name of Orange Crows came out on February 10th!
Basic Lowdown:
Five years ago, a young witch named Cierra broke the one unforgivable law of the witch society: attempting to create her own magic. Her unlawful tampering burned down a research room and injured the Mayor's daughter, Cierra's best friend. As punishment, she was exiled to the Wilderness, a barren wasteland crawling with witch-devouring Fairies and the bloodthirsty Forsaken...
After surviving for five ruthless years, her exile has now ended, and she has been ushered back to civilization, only to discover that the world around her has changed greatly. Will Cierra be able to adjust back to a society that abandoned her? And if her freakish new ability that links her to the terrifying Fairies is discovered, she may not be let off with mere exile this time...
So, now it's available in your nearest comic stores that sell manga, along with your local Barnes and Nobles. If you want to go the internet route, rightstuf.com [link] would be the place to go. They have a Tokyopop sale going on right now, so it's the perfect time to nab it for cheap!

After this week, they'll only be hosting 2 chapters of the book up there. I wrote the story and did the character designs, and the amazing drew all the beautiful art (though i did manage to sneak a few pieces of my own art in there ^_^)

Haha, your manga is quite popular. They started to sell 'em here in Brazil as well. I bought Orange Crows only, but at the end, it said something along the lines of "Want to see what happens to Cierra next? Find it on Dark Moon Diary". Does the story continue like this, or can I expect a second volume of Orange Crows?

Dark Moon Diary is not related to Orange Crows at all, and I unfortunately haven't read that one yet. I am hoping for everything to go well with the second volume of Orange Crows. Wait a minute, no, that's not right at all. Hahaha. I should probably explain what happened... Well, I have this bad habit of going into the last page of whatever I'm reading, and read the last sentence (if it's a book), or the last few frames.
Well, that's what happened. Basically, at the end of your manga, they got a preview of the first 5 pages of Dark Moon Diary, and it says, "Want to know how Priscilla is going to get out of this? Buy the first volume of Dark Moon Diary". It says Priscilla, not Cierra. I guess I was sleepy or something.
Anyway, is Dark Moon Diary also made by you?

Just want you t'know, i love it. Love the name, teh darkness level, teh humour which is actually directed towards an english audience, lov eteh fact that it reminds me of a good fantasy book but is in mnaga form. I'm lending it out to all my friends now as we can;t find any other copies.Soon as we do, they're going to buy it. Keep it coming.

Orange Crows is amazing! Rarely do you find such a merging of beautiful art, amazing design, compelling story line and world building, and engaging dialogue. It really is amazing for your first book, and I can't wait until the second one comes out! Keep up the amazing work.

went to barnes and noble today and saw this manga, read the description, began reading it and i completely love it! was sad to see that only volume 1

Just picked up the Orange Crow manga yesterday and I've already read it through twice. Awesome stuff. I hope the second volume comes out sooner rather than later (no pressure). The character personality and dialogue are really good. Very well balanced with the humor to serious ratio; it doesn't drag you down and it doesn't throw the serious storyline out the window anywhere, either.
As for the picture, very nice. I love the dice scarf and the clothing style overall. I also notice that Cierra is the only one with bat-style wings instead of feathered ones. Any particular reason for it? I personally think it looks cool that way, but I admit I'm curious.
Her eye patch in this picture seems a bit reminiscent of the Bleach hollow masks. Not bad at all, though. I like the picture's odd angle/perspective. Keep up the good work.
