Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Alsace-Moselle, Savoy and Nice are one of the regions that give the most votes to the Front National. They're usually more nationalist than the rest of France so I'm not sure whether this scenario could end well. The people who would live in these regions would be violent against their new "mother countries".

Nord-Pas-de-Calais could be realy trouble, true. I dont know if they will/could keep it forever. But Savoy and Nice, well they were at "Italy" till 1860 de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savoyen#… . I know that  there live no "italians" but I think the trouble will not any worse than a regular occupation. And in Alsace it will not be any worse than it really was in 1871.

France never accepted that Alsace-Moselle was taken by Germany and accepted to sacrifice 1.4 million young men in 1914-1918) to take it back so imagine the reaction if other regions were taken... There's a stronger national feeling in France than in Germany or Italy because France is much older. Even the concept of Gaul was much older than the concept of Germania.

Wow, thats a interesting interprepation. Generally if France is lossess WWI or something Franco-German war, it generally losses Lorainne and/or Nord-de-palais. Losing Basq and Catalan areas as a protectorat to Germany is quite orginal concept. I'm surprised that this idea never used before even in worlda maps.

Thank you. In the Main Scenario >>   the idea was to give that both areas to Spain, but Spain was afraid for a revenge War from France so they became a german protectorat.

Interesting, although I doubt this situation would be sustainable and the UK and Austria would allow this... Still a very nice map.
