day 15 of 365- [link]Meet Pickle, my hammie. she was a present from a lovely fan who didnt want to see her just thrown away. shes preserved in a small jar and lives (er... exists?) happily with TsuTsu, Pilot and the rest of my lovely deathlings.

I've been doing this lately as well (how I missed this picture is beyond me) but I had issues with one of my babies and now he's gone forever

This is such a sweet idea, it's hard for me to find the right word for it, loving maybe? It's too bad that some people don't get it and think it's creepy, because it really is a beautiful idea. Helps to make sure you never forget what you love, y'know? Really, very sweet. <3

ive had my hammie in levis windowsil for... 2? years now. his names Faggot and hes prolly all rotted. iv a lil fruitbat too... still dunno what to call him..

She looks so peaceful.. I never thought of preserving deceased pets like this, its an interesting and strangely artistic idea.
My hammie just died on the 17th.. we had a funeral in our small side-yard. Now I have four pet mice though ^_^ they are a joy to watch playing.

It makes me sad that she is forever stuck in that jar. Im glad that she wasnt thrown away, but it still makes me sad inside. I mean can you image having you body preserved for eternity?

i actually want to be preserved. well kind of. its flattering to me to think that someone would love me enough to want to keep me. i suppose its different for everyone. to me, they are lovely little creatures who mean the world to me. they are like children as sick as that sounds. id be devastated if something ever happened to them. we are all welcome to our opinions, but to me, they are beautiful, cherished little souls <3

I suppose it is flattering, but when im dead I want to be in the ground next to my family, not just floating around somewhere. But I totally understand that they are like your children. As strange as it sounds my living cats are like my babies, I would acutally take a bullet for them. But I wouldnt want them on display forever. But then again I have never really been confortable with taxidermy. My Aunt as ALOT of dead animals in her living room. Its kind of morbid. But they do look beauiful <3

I have taxidermied a foot from a rabbit we shot and ate for dinner. Dead things, when preserved correctly, are quite lovely
