Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but um... "tranny" is an insult to Transgendered people, it's a slang term for transvestites. Calling a Transgendered person a "tranny" is like saying they're just a crossdresser.

My wife is Trans, and she calls all of her Tranny friends trannies. I think it just depends on where you live and who you associate with. I have known people that don't like the term, and I know people that consider it a term of endearment. For us, it's the latter.

I know we're not friends anymore, but... I keet coming back to this photo, and without fail, it keeps bringing tears to my eyes. It's taken me a while to find the right words for it, and even still I'm hesitant. Worried I'm going to botch what I mean...
Ugh, fuck it.
Though it's an obviously posed photo, there's nothing emotionally posed about it, which is why it's so powerful to me.
There's some people out there who couldn't be paid enough to wear shirts like that for their children, some not even if their lives depended on it.
It hurts knowing that we even have to have a spirit week, that people are bullied and beaten for something as minuscule in the grand scheme of things as sexuality or gender identity... but knowing that there's some people out there who do care and accept gives me hope.

My Mom pretty much hates me for being gay. She's constantly tellign me how disgusting it is.
My Dad just refuses to believe it's true. He starts screaming and yelling if I bring it up.
And I won't even get into the kids at my school. Gosh, it's just awful.
And my poor little brother T.T My Dad is going to flip his lid when he finds out that my little brother likes to wear dresses...
Ah, I'm rambling.
What I'm trying to get at is, despite the fact that this picture made me sort of lonely and depressed, it also made me smile. It's nice to know that there are people out there who understand and who care. So thank you and thanks to your parents as well <3
