The strokes, the environment, the illusion of wind, plus her expression makes her see through the viewer. She is calm in cool colors while her surroundings are brighter than her in warmer hues. Great contrast and profound characterization. You can tell many things about her just by looking at her face. This is very tough to accomplish.Β
