Description A pretty simple picture, it is meant to resemble the traditional Japanese drawings of landscapes.
Doing this with a 3D software was an interesting experience.

The writing is actually in Chinese I think, it means "Fire Water Air Earth'"

You might wanna increase the opacity in the three mountains next to the one on the far left. . .
Cos they're a tad transparent.

How come its not like that with the other mountains?
It just creates the illusion that you can see the horizon. I think you should soften the light a lot more. It's basically solid. Try loading the selection in photoshop then using the polygonal selection tool and holding shift, start within the slection and add to it around the part of the light that you want to remain the same. But leave the selection around the part near the mountains the same. Then depending on how big you image is, go to select, and feather pixels, you might choose 10 or something. Hit delete a few times until you're happy.
The area of light where you didnt add to the selection, will gradually fade away the more you delete, whereas the part you added to the selection should stay the same. If it didn't then press Ctrl+Alt+Z a few times and try the whole thing again till you get it right. Good luck!

I don't know just how much experience you have with 3D but you should know that even though it is lined with the horizon it isn't related.
It is only in the upper part of the mountains in the right side sense that is the part in which the light is blocked by the other mountains further in the front. If it was the horizon, then it would be in both sides.

Now whether the effect is good or not is a different thing. I decided to keep it that way.
Rest assured that if I wanted I could have easily changed it even before the Photoshop phase.

Thank you ones again for your comment and thoughts.

Thank you for the comment.

The material opacity is set to full.
Because the scene created is with a volumetric atmosphere the light taints the air and therefore the mountain as well.
If the light is blocked the mountein will stay with its netural color.
