This is beamer, a fan character created by a great artist with the same name---Once,I have asked him many questions about drawing skills and tools, and I was appreciated getting so many helpful advice from him.
I think it is time to show something~ This piece was done in my dorm^^ with 0.03 micron pigma microns
Happy New Year, beamer! Hope you will like it, and I am looking forward to seeing more amazing arts from you in the coming year~

hey guymay! sorry it took me so long to get over to this. i'm so infrequent on DA anymore. anyway... awesome! looks like that was a tough pose to pull off to. did you use any reference? i really like the detail you put into this whole piece. including the parts on the back. not often do people do that ... especially with fanart of fancharacters. looks like you've been improving too!

Never mind, I would like to show it for you, beamer.
Oh,yes,I did use some reference.
First, for the pose,Hehe...i guess you have found my little trick, because i saw a pencil sketch of drift in your gallery, I know you have seen it.This pose was taken from 's Spotlight Drift Page 17,I think it is a cool gesture that drift is trying to duck away from the laser!
As for the car doors on the back,I based on my "wings" of Bumblebee toy.
Above all, the most important reference is your conception about beamer! ^0^ hahaha
Improved? oh i really hope i could make more progress this year

nothing at all with using reference just so long as you're not completely copying someone else's original work. referencing a lot of the time is a great way to learn or figure out difficult poses or angles... which you're using so definitely good on ya for doing that. ^_^
