I had this drawing for a while because I had other drawings to submit. Finally, I managed to finish this one. It shows the model from the Mexican Secret deodorant commercial getting turned into the marble version of the Birth of Venus. I was so curious with the model, and I chose to draw her as Venus. Anyway, the model though that she would pose for a statue, but she would had noticed that she'll be a statue herself. Her hands are set like the real thing. Her left hand is covering her nether regions while her right is covering her breasts. I didn't want to draw her lower regions as a result. It didn't stop me from using my originality on this petrification drawing. Even with my swimsuit requests, I managed to find time with other drawings. "Pred ustupom do mramoru" means " Before Going into Marble" in Slovak. The title seems appropriate on what the model is about to go through.
I wonder if there's a cure for the woman from her petrification process or not. As for the drawing, I can hope my shading had improved, or I can work on it a bit more. I do feel that the petrification drawing was a wonderful refresher.
