Description Just got a new Tablet and just saw How to Train your Dragon.

So, this.

I guess it's OK for a first go.

Super cool! You did a nice job with the blending, and that's good that you thought about the sun illuminating him from behind.

I would suggest that you try doing some studies from life and photography as practice though, simple still lifes and such, they'll help you a lot in making color choices and being able to light and shade (also called rendering) your dragon more realistically! You could even do studies from screenshots out of the movie. It'll especially help with your color, cause the sky in the background looks great but Toothless and the grass feel like they're in a regular high noon kind of light. Also I'd suggest trying to hand paint your grass rather than using the grass brush; you don't have to paint every blade, just big shapes and suggest detail in a few areas!

Overall though this is great! Thanks for giving the tutorial a try, and keep practicing! This is a good start!

I love the colouring and the grass effect.
It almost looks as if its been painted.
