Yep, another great title.
8 sec. Custom white balance.
We spotted this on the way home from a day of swimming and hiking in Litchfield National Park. This place is just immense and full of waterfalls and watering holes. Apparently the park rangers burn out dead wood and shrubbery this time of the year, right after the rainy season, to help minimize forest fires later in the season. A pretty cool sight to stumble across in the middle of nowhere! Had to stop for a quick snap.

why is destruction so beautiful? is it because something has finally ended, or is it because if, given a chance and used for good, something new comes out fo the ashes?
i love the colors XD

This capture is amazing
Composition, framing (the trees) and especially the color tones are overwhelming
Glad you were around to capture that difficult situation
Glad you posted the exifs Very interesting that you got such clear shot at 8 secs ..
You should make this available as a wallpaper

Beautiful. Wonderful display of tone depth, with the silhouetting on the viewers side and the tree faces so detailed on where the light strikes them. WOnderful bonanza of tones and contrasts.

Makes me think of scenery in a stage play. Your photo is much much more awesome because it is the real thing!

it's so scary and awe inspiring to look at a forest fire. it kind of makes you think that it will come straight at you, but you kind of have to just look at it to see it's terrifying beauty.

Fire? What fire? I just love how that one little tree right in the middle is framed so nicely by the trees on either side. The whole image is so surreal looking.

Fire is not something new to photos, but it's the great capture of the contrast and the trees that makes this.

Your point is still a little irrelevant. Repeated techniques are used in every form of art alllllll the time, there's no valid reason to say this is a downside to a piece of art.
