I just started trying to draw back in July 2019 ,Β and progress is slow because of work, family, other hobbies etcβ¦.Β but still I am trying to learn the techniques, oil pastel isn't too hard.....but its almost impossible for detail.Β I think maybe if you can do digital oil,Β it can achieve more detail. (?)

YEs,Β I like what you say about light, composition, color etc.... Β
Currently I am still in the straight-line, curved-line phase,Β and progress will be slow as I juggle many different hobbies ,Β but I I do some speed drawing every day.
You may see little tiny drawings on small notebook paper in my gallery.Β Those are done very quickly,Β with very little editing.Β I am practicing speed, and just well,Β like you say,Β getting in my 30 minutes/day.Β
