This is Pew. She is a North American classic stripped skunk. She was my pet for 4 years before she passed unexpectedly.Skunks are extremely loving animal(if raised properly) with a personality between a dog and a cat. It takes a good year to raise one properly. If you don't have the time, DON'T get a skunk.
The most fun I had with her is when people would come over to my place and they didn't know I had a skunk for a pet. That was the best. They would scream. Her tail would shoot straight up and I would be on the floor laughing.
I do miss her dearly.

She was a gift from my ex-girl friend. One day she showed up with her were I was working and I fell for her head over heels. She was the best.

In my stories, an Elmo Peterson -an only child- picked up a baby skunk in the woods on vacation. He lives in NJ. I don't know if skunks are allowed as pets in NJ, any more than if there are sharks in the Hackensack River or nuclear power plants or a nudist camp...
All I know is that the baby skunk was already -changing- due to a strange virus and mutated in a years into a little girl ! Of course, Citronella is now Elmo's sister tho she's somewhat like Fifi in appearance (except for no fur except for the tail and her scalp).
Citronella thinks Elmo's a stick-in-the-mud at times.
By the way, I read that skunks do NOT take well to punishment and subscribe to the philosophy that "revenge is a dish best served cold". I wonder if -once they got back at you do they drop the matter ?

Very cute. I'd like to care for a skunk myself and it might happen someday. I'm sorry she has passed, and I hope the four years you two had together was special. Do you think you'll be getting a other anytime soon to replace her?

awww...shes adorable. ive always always always wanted a pet skunk, but maryland law forbids it. i will have one though....ONE DAY!!! i have seriously been reading a bunch of stuff about caring for them cuz i really do want to get one. im gonna go to college in PA so maybe if i lived there i could get one.
