Hiro was unsure Suho had just made a threat or merely a statement, unsure of how much she knew of the situation. "I'm... sure we do," said Hiro, clearing his throat. "Forgive me, but there's a lot going on that I really don't understand. I have a lot of questions."

Suho nodded and closed the distance between them, still with no obvious malice yet with a level of control and calculation that put Hiro on edge.

"I'm certain you do," replied Suho. "I'll answer yours if you answer mine. Truthfully."

There was absolutely an aura of intimidation around Suho, but her demeanor was calm - serious, but not the manic nightmare that had been Kohaku. He was nervous, but hoped that his intuition was right and that she meant he and Rin no harm.

That would be a good place to start. "OK," he sighed. "What happened to Kohaku?"

Suho's expression was unreadable. "She has been dealt with, for now. My main priority was to get you and Yamashita-san away from her, so I managed to subdue her long enough for me to extract you from the situation. She is a very dangerous individual."

Hiro scoffed. "You're telling me! Is she some kind of ninja or something? Wait, are you BOTH ninja?"

Suho gave him a look that made him feel very small indeed. He sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry," he apologized. "I told you I didn't know what was going on."

"Don't be," said Suho. "I trust that you don't. Now: how much did Kohaku tell you?"

"I'm not sure? It didn't make a lot of sense, really. She was saying something about me being at the heart of the weird things that happen here at school. She was also trying to..." Hiro felt he had to choose his next words carefully. "Uh, she was get me to do something terrible with Rin. If I didn't, she-"

"I know," interrupted Suho, without emotion. "Blackmail. She had something incriminating about you on that stolen phone. It has been destroyed."

Hiro's sense of relief was short lived. "Did you know what it was?" He braced himself for the answer.
