I love it but I don't really get the shield, how does it work?

Thank you! It's a circular shield with a blade on the inside. When the shield top comes down, the blade is extracted. When the blade is brought back in, the top of the circular shield is back in place.

Yeah, I was there. However, most of my time was spent in a class they were having there. It was very long but quite informative, I got a lot out of it. I even got some of my work evaluated, and actually got some good comments on it.
