Work in progress for the second round of . Rainy Spring

Tomorrow is "Draw a Centaur Day" and I'll be out all day, so I'm posting this now. Sadly, it's far too complicated for me to be able to actually finish up the entry, so it'll be updated later with the finished picture. This is just the flat colours.

This round the OC was to dress up for an outdoor picnic with Easter egg hunt with rainy and slightly chilly weather. Lucian's entire outfit is built around the concept of a large loose hood that doesn't drop of your head the moment there's a bit of wind. Lucian doesn't have this sort of problems with his cloak.

Anyway, it'd seem most entries so far has gone with the philosophy that "rainy and slightly chilly" should mean lot's of exposed skin and thin clothing items that dries quickly if wet... Lucian took the opposite approach. He's wearing two big wool cloaks (one for the top body and one for the lower body), and has a full outfit below that peeks out a few places. In fact, between cloaks, regular outfit and fur he's probably overdressed. So expect him to take off the cloaks later if there's no rain or he's below a shelter (I guess he could fit in at the ends of the tables, even if they are awfully low for a centaur).

Anyway, Lucian is caretaker of a healing lake in his homeworld, so naturally he had to check out the lake at the picnic site. He then ran into River, who's all over the place egg hunting, and got explained about the chocolate egg goodness, so Lucian is now taking advantage of his long reach to get a rather tricky egg. In the process he bumped the (very impractical) long left sleeve over his back, together with the top cloak that's no draped over his right arm to keep it dry. He's holding his front "boots" and long right sleeve in the right hand as well. His front leg pants technically go below the knee, but they got moved above the knee to avoid the water (not sure how the egg even got out into the duck house in the first place).

In the background we got Marni near the table, who started at the lake, but by now either is seeking shelter from the rain or got hungry. Hidden behind River and Lucian is Nuisible and her helping hands. Looks like she's about to realise that the umbrella doesn't do much for proper shelter if lounging when it starts to really rain. That blanket won't stay dry for long.

And yeah, I totally picked these three because they're the only OC's submitted to Round 2 so far. I had to work with something.
