Description
This is simple, crappy and not at all very presentable sketch of Galarion - one of few elves who are able to fight and kill without turning dark. There is no simple way how to explain why he is special without major spoiling of a really good story *Lawenta is writing and I won't do that since I hope that she will finaly write it down as whole and publish it.What I can say is, that Galarion is around age of 12 here and that he is a son of Dorion Athracar (OC of *Lawenta ), not in blood but certainly in soul and apperance. He is serious, responsible and protector to boot. First things on his mind are needs and safety of his "important ones" which overlays with "precious ones" pretty heavily. For his age he is pretty overprotective and is teased for it often, but he also manages to be very immediate and cuddly (towards those really close to him) and to enjoy simple things in life, which makes him one of the most adorable characters I ever played.
I hope I will manage to make real picture out of this one day.

Galarion is SO MUCH Dorion's son it's not even funny. Except maybe for the cuddly part. But considering how easily he adjusts to Lyrienn and Galarion, I think he just never dared to show this part of his nature.
As for the sketch, it's beautiful. You somehow managed to portray everything he means for me. He's sweet, still childish and naΓ―ve despite all he's been through, apparently born to be hugged all the time Yet I can perfectly imagine him all serious and dutiful when he learns whatever he learns - history, swordsmanship or about the people around him.
In the short time you play him, he became one of our most important characters, and the bond only deepened with this picture.
So great work!

I really like this sketch! He does look very gentle and thoughtful.
Now you have me all interested in Lawenta's story!

That's always nice to hear.
I can only repeat after Gwen: If you want to know anything, just ask. I'm not too afraid of spoilers here at dA. It will be a long time before I finish the book in Czech (if ever), and I would be very surprised to ever see it translated into any other language. Except maybe if I decide to translate it to English myself. That would be fun - I bet the versions would differ greatly
Anyway. Galarion is a character that comes into the picture quite some time after the planned book's end, and he's a miracle. I thought nothing and nobody can ever make Dorion genuinely happy, even though he's able to grow content with his life. Then Galarion came and did it. Just like that. He's a new beginning of something that went horribly, horribly wrong the first time - so he's not just a child, he's Dorion's greatest hope...

I am glad you like it I actually started to color it in Photoshop today, since I am unable to do anything reasonable, and it changed very much the feeling, so I don't know if it will be any good.
Well, the story is the matter of heart for me. It was the first thing I ever read about elves (I was trekkie before ) and I immediately fell in love with it. If you want to know a bit more, taste the world *Lawenta is painting with words pictures and roleplaying, visit these three submissions of hers, for there is written more in author's comment and our comments under it:

But I warn you: She is writing the story longer than I know her and that is almost 13 years already, there is no way to be sure if and when she will actualy finish it in written form, not to mention she writes in czech. But I think that if you ask her about any part of her world, she will gladly tell you more

Yay for Trekkies! I just recently discovered that you can be a fan of Tolkien/fantasy in general, Star Trek AND Star Wars at the same time! (yes, I'm kinda nerdy)
I'm really impressed by how many different, complex characters (all with their complex histories) Lawenta has... It sounds like a very well-fleshed out story with lots of background

I know. Add an anime in the mix and you have me... hello, fellow nerd
Oh, you have no idea We both practically live in our worlds. We roleplay and write constantly all those 13 years, she has even her own elven language (or languages since there are more dialects), even though not really complete. That might interest you if I am not mistaken and you like linguistics. I certainly like the way her elves use language in general
We both created and played hundreds of characters so those depicted here are those who was significant enough and developed good background with all the tiny details. Plus *Lawenta is realy in it when it comes to genealogy
When we form a couple, her favorite part is deciding on babies, so some characters are really literally played from cradle to grave. The story I mentioned is just one of the major ones (and the one most important... ugh, I guess), there are many more
Oh well, I could go on forever, but I would necessarily start about my own world (and go on forever about that too) and you wanted to know about that particular story and that happens on *Lawenta 's planet and you should ask her, since I don't know how many things I can tell
not to mention she is rewriting it and does major changes in the process.
I so love our worlds So don't hesitate to ask anything about it in the future.
