A suggestion by StevenEly to have Marvelman (as he was originally known; we all know him better as Miracleman) to be substituted for Captain Marvel Jr. from Master Comics #23, with Captain Marvel and Shazam watching. It was a little tricky getting the poses to match since there was so much subtle artwork and color from the cover of Miracleman #1. Marvelous! It is just as I had imagined it! Thank you! I love that both Captain Marvel and Shazam are both shown on that cover, highlights to people that Captain Marvel is not Shazam. I think Marvelman would fit right into the Captain Marvel family. Marvel was the rights to Miracleman now, but a DC/Marvel crossover could be great if it brought back the original Billy Batson/Captain Marvel.

Freddie became a hero by saying "Captain Marvel." Thus one lightning strike later he became Captain Marvel Jr. He couldn't even say his name without changing back. All he had to do was use another name---Marvel Boy---The Blue Marvel---Lt. Marvel---But no. He stuck with Captain Marvel Jr. Makes you wonder just how big a dope this Solomon guy really was.

It was because he gained powers from his hero by speaking his name, which was Shazam's doing. But you are correct, a simple name difference would have solved a lot of problems. Although I really liked the Captain Marvel Jr. name. Maybe a rule that he only changed when he wanted to, allowing him to say his name without changing. That too would have been an easy fix.
