I've originally planned to give him brown eyes, but decided against it.
It'd make him look depressingly generic, and golden eyes also kinda differentiate him from other girls's colors!

I would often imagine the MC having brown, yellow, or reddish-brown eyes. I like your depiction of the MC. Hairstyle is on point to what I would imagine him (actually, I have a few generic short hairstyles in my mind that work).
