Description
This is for the family picture project. =3I whipped this picture up of myself as a Sarafan knight since i figure most everyone else will be making themselves vampires. And lookee there, I even have myself a loyal raven buddy that is my message carrier and "eyes".
I shall call him my squishy...
Eventually things go down - including the killing oh her trusted Raven - that drives Rae away from the Sarafan. Of course she is turned vampire at some point and is even reunited with an old feathery friend.
Well, it's spirit in any case. =3
Ok, I think that's enough boring backstory for now.

Ha ha, why hello thar LoK fan! So good to find yet another!
Well ya know with the massive story line going on it almost doesn't matter WHAT game you play first since they all lead back to another in some way, shape or form.
Well I'm glad you think it looks good! Took some mighty thinking to get that armor on paper to look good! I Actually colored this using colored pencils and just did a bit of editing in PS, specifically to get the shiny effect on the armor and to add some flame.

I have to say Raziel is probably the coolest vampire I've seen (what could be more creative than a blue soul sucker without a jaw?)
Armor has always been difficult for me, it takes so much planning out (unless you work on the Final Fantasy games, where you can leave the entire chest piece out

Frankly I LOVE the game for having the confusing storyline, it gives it a nice edge. You have to actually play the whole series several times to start to understand it not to mention it pulls in so many details from previous games, like from Blood Omen. I was very impressed on all the details and story bits that they pulled into future games. =3
The way they've handled the story means people actually have to pay attention to the story to get it and that's a great edge to have if ya ask me.
Raziel is awesome and a very original creation! I love him and he still pulls off being bitchin cool despite kind of whining and bemoaning all the time. But he makes whining look cool.. plus he deserves that right to after what he went through.
And, y'know, he's STILL pretty good looking even without the skin and jaw.
Blah, armor isn't too bad as long as you have a long list of references around to study.

I plan on playing them through again as soon as I beat Soul Reaver One. It's a really great story, that's mostly why I fell for the game.
And then of course there's Raziel. He has to be one of my most favorite video game characters of all time. And you are right, he's nice looking with blue skin and no jaw. I've actually always thought he looked better after he got thrown in that nasty burning lake; poor guy.
I was kind of upset with what happened to him at the end of Defiance, but It probably made me like him more
Besides, I'm sure there are plenty fan comics that solve that problem 
now I feel like drawing him...

The story is amazing, period. More people should find, love, and clammer for more sequels to LoK instead of more Tomb raider sequels. *grumbles* Just because it has a tits and an ass does not make it a better game.
Raziel is definitely in my top 5 favorite game characters, actually I'd say he is my #1 or at least my #2. He's has such an awesome character design I can't not call him my favorite.
Ugh, I was SO upset after I finished Defiance. 
...damnit it means I can no longer hear that sexy voice of his and that hurt!
Hehe, and here I thought *I* was the only one who thought he looked better after his fall. Draw! Draw I say! I've been meaning to draw him for 4 years so one of us mind as well do it! XD

Ugh, I hate Tomb Raider. I like games that pack a lot of imagination and creativity into one unique story. LOK did that for me.
Raziel is one of my favorites among characters like Prince of Persia, and ....um and others I can't think of at the moment.
I was at the store the yesterday (Hastings) and came across the most amazing thing. I had absolutely no idea that there were Raziel action figures. I couldn't just not buy it- 16 dollars and it will probably never leave the casing. I still can't decide if I want to open it or not. I have this one: [link] and now I want this one: [link] I never was big on action figures, but Raziel is worth it.

I was surprised when I saw the behind the scenes stuff too and saw him since I pictured someone younger...but then again I was surprised when I saw everyone else too. LOL at Moebius's VA, that guy looks so normal that I never would have pegged him to do that bastard time streamer's voice. But I have mad respect for Bell since he's done so many voice overs in his life time, and that goes double since he was the original voice for TF's Prowl. 
HA! Welcome to the world of action figure collecting! I found out about the Soul Reaver figures while browsing Ebay myself. I ended up getting 2 of the original BBI released Raziel figures along with Kain and Dumah. XD And I HAVE been eying those two right there as well. I've yet to find them in a store tho! XD
Oh and you are totally right, Raziel is most definitely worth anting up the 16 bucks for. 8D

He's the second action figure I've ever bought (the first was Balthier F-F 12) I love both of my action figures, but I'm not sure what to do with them. Would you recommended opening them? Or should I just admire their wonderful-ness from afar?

Are you kidding? OPEN THE DAMN THING!! I firmly believe action figures were made to be touched and admired up close...IN YOUR HANDS! I opened mine - and all my TF action figures for that matter. Come on now, what is the fun of looking at a toy left in its box? Just carefully cut him out if you really want to keep the box and enjoy him.
I buy my figures with every intention of keeping them forever, i wanted um so I'm gonna keep um. I'd take Raziel out of the box because the longer you wait the harder it might be for you since you are probably like most other people and keep thinking $$$ Value.

I hope Micheal Bell isn't tired of making the games. It would be a nice surprise to see another game with (at least) Raziel's voice in it. Besides, What are the Legacy of Kain games without Raziel? I was never a big fan of Kain anyway...I haven't played any of Blood Omen.

oh noes! Well if it makes you feel better i only fell in love with it after playing Soul Reaver myself....and it was a total fluke cause my mom picked it up for me out of a bargain bin. XD
...but i did find blood omen and bought it several years back...*cough*
If you ever do find Blood Omen you should get it. =3 Its graphics are a bit lacking and the voice work isn't quite as good as the sequels, but it's still cool to see where it all began.

A friend of mine has the first Blood Omen, and he said that its fun, regardless of the visuals and voices. Thats what I look for in a game anyway, is fun factor. ^^ lol, I got Soul Reaver when it first came out, simply because I like how "that guy" (Raziel) on the cover looked. XD!!!!

Ha well the ~lokclan is having its members draw themselves up as they would appear in the Legacy of Kain games. After everyone gets their submissions in, all of them are going to be spliced together for a "Family portrait" of sorts.... which is kinda amusing since the Sarafan and vampires are enemies and apparently i'm a Sarafan..
Surely i can play nice long enough for the portrait to be done.

Hmm let us say that the first time we meet we get into a confrontation. You attack because to your eyes i still appear to be a Sarafan from my armor and the Sarafan have been sighted on your turf. So you put two and two together and assume i'm one of these Sarafan.=3
I attack because i am tired, wounded and paranoid since the Sarafan are hunting me down, and wary of vampires because lets face it, few vampires would try and strike up a friendly convo with a former Sarafan.
Fairly quickly our little spat ends and we realize that we are not enemies. I believe the phrase "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" works quite nicely here.
Either you nurse me back to health yourself or you are perhaps a tad wary of me so you tend to my wounds and drop me off near a nearby town for me to seek further medical help. We can meet a few more times, talk, scheme, become a little more comfortable with one another and perhaps give a lil bit of backstory about ourselves to one another.
Hell why not throw in a confrontation with the Sarafan in there! Perhaps I ultimately gain your trust when i pretty much sacrifice myself to save you, proving i wasn't lying to gain your trust and so on. You whip whoever's sarafan ass is left and tend to me, but know i won't survive unless.... *wiggles eyebrows*
har i think you know what happens form thar. I could have elaborated this scenario further but i know that you have a life and don't need to waste it reading this drivel. Now see! Leaving things open like that for me to interpret only ends in long ass descriptions o dOoOoOoOm!

After I leave the Sarafan order i guess they were none too happy - once you are part of the brotherhood/sisterhood you are a part of it for LIFE, ya dig? They don't want any former knights rising up against them. Also I kind of stumbled across a few things over time that the top dogs didn't want known, like vampires actually being, y'know, NOT monstrous heathens that only crave death and destruction. =3
I kind of make the mistake of going to Moebius about these troubling issues. I had always gone to seek council with him if i was troubled by something so this didn't seem any different. He was my friend, or so i thought ...yes....i now know how stupid that was and i quickly learn after this what a manipulative bastard he is. >= (
Anyhow after Moebius brings it up about what i've discovered, the circle is not pleased, they can't have someone running around knowing that bit of info now can they?
A free thinker = bad Bad BAD.
As a direct result of this I am branded a traitorous vampire sympathizer and orders are given for my execution, delivered by moebius himself. The bloody bastard! I thought we were friends!
Obviously i am now seen as no better than a vampire in the Sarafan's eyes.
So this would be around the time when my trusty raven friend tries to protect me by attacking a Sarafan that attacks me. He stands little chance so he is killed (Woe!!) but i escape from the Sarafan with some serious wounds but alive.
And of course this leads up to the point where we stumble across each other shortly after.

*nods sadly* Yup, i was called traitor for having some compassion for vamps - what a bum deal!
As for how i'm able to reunite with my raven - who i shall dub Ravvy until i think of a more appropriate name - is through the wonder of MAGIC! *waves hands and makes a 'sparkle, sparkle' sound* Aside from being an accomplished warrior I became a rather accomplished sorceress while in the Sarafan order as most females in the order usually did. Naturally these abilities carried over to when i become a vampire. Missing Ravvy as I do, I attempt to summon him back to the realm of the living with my new found powers - yay for vampiric perks! =3
It takes a while but i'm finally able to summon him back and he becomes my animal familiar/guardian of sorts. He is able to manifest a physical body if he wants but he can just as easily switch back to the spirit realm. Matter factly you remember the crows in SR2? Remember how if you approached them they disappeared into a cloud of green smoke? That's happens with Ravvy when he switches to the spirit realm.
Matter factly them disappearing birds is where i got the idea about a "Spirit" raven FYI, i kinda based it around that.
When Ravvy is in the spirit Realm vampires can still see him or at the very least sense him but humans cannot.
And because this is my crazy world that happens to take place within Nosgoth, i say Ravvy can "talk" because a talking raven is badass. He can't talk physically of course but he can speak to any of us mentally.
...yeah...i realize that the way i explained Ravvy almost makes it seem that he is the bird version of Raziel. Guess i should find him a tiny Soul Reaver he can wear on his wing or beak.

Now while i await more questions from ye i shall attempt to think up a more appropriate name for my Raven. *sits down and thinks*
