That isn't a fractal. I made that with Bryce which is a 3D program. You would like it.

Yes there are some online .. and the program Bryce 5.5 is now free. There are tons of sites with tutorials for it, but I have not done any of them. Also if you go to page and look in her gallery. She has some tutorials there for all of us if we want to use them.
