I wanted to make a anime-esque version of Emily. I saw this girl carrying a school bag of the Emo-girl character, and thought, man, is this what their role models are nowadays? Anyway, I was inspired to draw this loveliness...Related content

Emily isn't emo, she's goth. Emos are self absorbed little attention hogs. Emily rarely feels pity for herself, NEVER cuts herself(On purpose) and she's very self confident.

This is really good.
Normally Emily the Strange has a nuetral, negative expression, here you have given her an almost innocent, childish charm, it's refreshing (not saying that I'm against Emily the strange in general, she's awesome).
It's defiently a new perspective of the "Emo-girl character". Love it, keep up the good work!!

but I must say, despite her emo-ness, Emily the strange is a good role model, she encoreges young girls, not to be emos or goths, but to be unique and true to themselves.
That's why I like Emily, because she's not just for emos and goths, but for anyone who wants to be unique. :3

yeah, Emily loves spiders compared to butterflys, she has 2 pet spiders which she saved from being stomped on
