Groudon would win. BlackWarGreymon is really powerful but Groudon has immense power I do think BlackWarGreymon would hold his own though. Though that many BlackWarGreymon's might actually beat Groudon.

I agree that there is a numbers advantage but it belongs to pokemon not digimon. I am of course talking about pokemon "in general" of course. I mean think about it. Each one of thoughs Black Wargreymons worked for their whole lifes to reach their level. Pokemon can reach this stage in a few months under a trainer. It is this that makes digimon far more powerful individually. Though Groudon is powerful, I feel that he is only a mach for one Black Wargreymon.
Before anyone brings out the so called "Fanboy" claim. Yes, I like digimon more. Though I tried to present my agrument in a reasonable unbiased way.

Don't worry I don't think your an obsessive fanboy. When I first thought of making these deviations I always do research on both sides to see how I can make the outcome of the battle work. Blackwargreymon do have many powerful abilities, yes. But let's not forget, Groudon can create and move continents by not lifting a single finger and has a movepool of pretty high accuracy attacks (Except fissure of course). Also fire is one of his key elements and I don't think one Terra Destroyer will be enough against him.
As a Digimon & Pokemon Fan, I really dedicate on researching on both sides.

You presented your conter-claim very well and I can see where you are coming from with this. I feel that a Champion digimon would still be equal to a Stage 2 pokemon, and a non-ledgendary has no chance againist an ultaminte(perfect) or a mega. I do admit that thoughs ledgendary pokemon are powerful, even when compared to digimon. I may not like pokemon as much but I know power when I see it.I would love to see a fight between Fanglongmon and Arceus. I am gald that I talking to a decent fan.

Don't worry that was not a request. Just an idea. I do have a question though. How would you rate a fair fight for digimon vs pokemon. I mean for non-legendaries. I would say that a stage 2 pokemon is equal to a champion digimon.

Actually in the anime his power is a little bit over exaggerated. In the mangas and games they tend to make his power rather common among the common mega levels. (Which is not all that high)

When will bandai make a good Digimon World game? I mean the main plot, characters and Digimon are awesome, but the story and gameplay are either boring, bad or both.

Although I admit that DMW3's story is a lot better then the rest. It still doesn't excuse its:
1. Lacking of variety. There are so many recolors it's incredibly annoying.
2. Loooong, boring and lacking in challenging ways in unlocking digivolutions. Digivolution is supposed to be an awesome event as when the Digimon reaches its next stage after an event occurs or a challenge is complete. It's not supposed to be a boring and long, level-up process some with tedious and easy-to-obtain conditions.
3. Reach in low height by copying Pokemon's badge earnings. Defeating this elite tamer (trainer) will earn you a badge. Sounds familiar? Thank God that was interrupted by the plot.
4. Battles with no tactics. Tactics are really not needed. If the boss is hard all you got to do is continuously (and this is highly boring) train train train and train. After that. It will be cakewalk. No weaknesses or strengths required.
5. Lack of Role-Playing for an RPG! You can't change the character's personality, there are no alternate endings depending on what you've done and there are no side quests for hidden items (Or to make it more fun, digivolutions) like powerful weapons or something like that. What the hell!

Breath of fire 3 was an old game in the ps1 with certain similarities to DMW3 (It actually came out before DMW3). The only difference is that it is really NOT a chore playing it. It's got an interesting setting, unlocking transformations is not only fun but experimental, battles are strategic, what is carefully said can effect the ending, it has enjoyable mini-quests and also despite not having any fancy 3D cutscenes its story is so well put and really enjoyable.

C'mon bro. Give Groudon SOME credit. The guy can create frickin' landmasses and completely controls the earth (not the planet). Don't compare it to his crappy anime counter-part, being controlled by a damn pikachu.
Yes, Blackwargreymon is super-powerful. In the anime ONLY! In other media like mangas (not based off the anime, of course) and games (except DMW card battle) he's honestly not all that.
I'm basing all the pokemon off the adventures manga and the digimon off the mangas and games so that these battles would be evenly matched, making both digimon and pokemon fans interested.

yeah I still haven't seen any of the lagens on the manga of pokemon. with my computer it takes way too long to load each page and can get annoying. and I have only seen BWG in Digimon world and the anima. I don't remember seeing him in the manga.

It was an awesome manga. Too bad digimon is basing their next manga on an anime rather than being original. I'm not saying the anime is bad or anything, I mean, its got a sort of Gurren Lagann animation, and that is metal.
