Catbird making an appearance at WC Monthly Conformation Show .

Story: Wilties are like potato chips; you can't have just one. Orchard Valley Kennels found this out the hard way after acquiring their first Wiltshire Spaniel, Maps. Swept away by his looks, charms, and versatility, they were hooked on the breed. It wasn't long before the kennel found itself another Wiltie, a gray-belton named Catbird. Though he had only been around a few months, it seemed appropriate to see how he'd fair in competition.
Earlier in the day, Garrett had let Catbird run around and play on the beach with the other dogs. Unfortunately, it later took Garrett extra long to wash all of the sand out of C.B's fur; it was as if he had tried to talk the whole beach with him! After an extended bath, and then another bath (after Catbird jumped back into the water), he was finally ready to make an appearance in the ring. Even as he was standing stacked, waiting for judging, Garrett could tell Catbird was still eying the beach out the window, as if he'd love nothing more than to go rejoin the fish and dirty up his coat... again.

The sunset was referenced from a picture I took on Spring Break. I'm happy I got to incorporate it into a piece of art! For the rest of the image, it was fun to try to create the scene from what information was given about the venue. I hope I'm not too far off!
