Description
These patterns can be intermingled with other patterns/colors found in the breed; ie. dappled gray with leo, pinto with great brindle, agouti with cabana.Monarch: A butterfly-like geometric pattern which can be found anywhere on the dog. It can only cover a maximum of 60% of the body. Comes in natural colors only. Also characterized by white flecks and specks across the body.
Great Brindle: Multi-toned brindle and spots. Light fur common on underbelly.
Leo: Dark or light colored fur found from the jaw to the mid-shoulder. Can allow for dorsal stripe and dark underbelly.
Recluse: Characterized by calico-like markings and leg stripes. Base colors can range from clay-toned to dark earth hues.
Cabana: Recognized as a stripe (or stripes) that criss-cross the body. Always includes spots of white on the flank. Spots and stripe can vary greatly in size and number.
Garden: Bands of brown that can be found across the body.
~~LITTER SIZES: Imperial dogs have had historically small litters, ranging only from 1-4 pups. This, however, insures that all pups will be strong and healthy. Runts are extremely rare.
