Misery standing beside me.Misery is the embodiment of depression, addiction, self harm, and suicide. She is a demon of sorts, also kind of a siren. She seduces you with her soothing words, her promises. She makes you yearn for the comfort of a blade against your skin because she say it will make you beautiful. She promises that you'll enjoy it.

Like the background you chose for this. It's perfect for the sketchy look of the drawing. You also drew yourself really well, which I find to be a hard thing to do sometimes, so kudos. I love your expression, too. It's so meaningful. The anatomy is sound as well. Misery is a creepy character, but I think that's the point. She's an interesting OC. I wish she wouldn't bother you so much though. :/ This is a good drawing. :3

I had a heck of a time trying to draw myself, it's really difficult.
I find it interesting that everyone seems to like the expression I drew on my face when I happen to dislike it very much. I wanted a more on the verge of tears or fearful expression, but ended up with this blank face instead... I want to fix it.
I did use 3d models as references to keep the anatomy sound, its cheating in a way, but it helps a lot.
Misery is supposed to be a creepy character, she's supposed to be dark and twisted and make you shiver. I wish she wouldn't bother me so much to, but I think she does it less now and its more me being addicted to her presence and crawling after her begging for the sweet promises she used to tell me, and the the song she would sing to me.

I can imagine. I honestly haven't taken a crack at it yet, but I will at some point. Really? I thought it fit the picture well, because you look like you're trying to resist her. Like you're trying your best to stay determined or something. If you do fix it, you should keep the first one up, too. Or maybe put up a before an after. :3
Well, references are needed by even the best artists. Anatomy is especially hard to accomplish. Takes a lot of practice.

Misery is a tricky bitch. She lured me in and I fell so hard that now she doesn't even have to tempt me or seduce me, I chase after her. I think that's how she works. She makes you want her even when she isn't whispering sweet nothings in your ear. She gets into your brain.
She does suck.
I do however find her to be a rather artistic inspiration. I love trying to capture the essence of her in art, in fact I am currently working on a drawing of her.

Thank you. I tried to capture some of the emotion I was feeling, like Misery was breathing down my back with that stupid grin on her face, just waiting for me to cave in.
