When it comes to slavery, Ancient Rome had no ethnic distintion at all. A great example of inclusive civilizadion.
This provided a nice range of ethnicities and skin colors, From Brittany and Gaul to Egypt and Africa, thus offering many more options for the noble Roman citizen, but choosing a good slave was not an easy task. Most were rebellious and disobedient, which demanded some punishment till they got properly tamed. Some were stupid enough to try to be aggressive or escape, and had to be beaten and whipped hard, which lowered their market value and they were usually bought to work in the salt mines or to be thrown into the arena for the amusement of the good citizens. Definetly a poor choice of action, and today two of them were doomed for their stubborn misbehavior.
But on a few rare occasions a docile, obedient and cute captive was taken, which caused great competition for his purchase and was worth paying good coin. If he were handsome, the interest in the purchase would be even greater. A large penis was preferable but not mandatory, slender, smooth and delicate boys also got attention.
Magurix is an appealing Gaul boy, smart enough to perfectly fit this rare profile on purpose.
He soon realized that the best thing to do was to be submissive and agreeable in his dealings with his captors, and thanks to a few lewd favors to the slave trader he obtained benefits such as bettter meals and being allowed to take a bath before the auction. Now he just have to be creative in displaying himself to attract the interest of a rich, influential and naughty dominus, to get a high bid and grant his captor's profit. Doing so, Magurix can avoid manual tasks and heavy work, serving in the comfort of the Villa.
Most of the other captives disapproved his behavior and were too stupid to see the advantages of such rolepray, but maybe this time one or two fellow boys might follow his example and try the same strategy.
