6 nervously looked around as he led Ted through the Emptiness. They had to get to the ruins of the Sanctuary. "Lost ones...Coming home..." he murmured again as he kept walking. He wished he could have gotten someone else to accompany him, but only Ted had been willing to go now. The striped seer sighed a bit, knowing that 9 and 7 were probably back at the library arguing with 1, 5 and the twins were scared of leaving, and 8...Well, there was no way 8 would help him.

Ted sighed from behind him. "How much farther 6?"

"Close...They're close..." He kept walking forward, grabbing his key a little for comfort.

He didn't realize until about fifteen minutes later that Ted wasn't following him anymore.

6's pupils shrunk in fear and he gripped the key tighter. He looked around, terrified and shaking. Where had the medic gone? How had they gotten separated? "T-Ted?...W-w-where are you?" He didn't get an answer. He gasped as a few seconds later something crashed nearby. The seer ran forward to where the ruins of the Sanctuary were. If he could get there, where 2 and the new stitchpunks were, he knew he would be safe.

He skidded to a stop as something moved ahead of him, staying in the shadows and darting behind cover before 6 could see it properly. He backed away nervously and started to run in another direction, hoping to avoid the creature, but every way he went the creature seemed to appear, always hiding just before it could be clearly seen.

Whatever it was, it was toying with him.

6 stood there, shaking in fear and looking around as the creature kept moving. He could hear it as it shuffled through the junk surrounding him. What could he do? He grabbed his key tightly as he tried to think of a plan, but nothing came. He stopped for a moment. He couldn't hear the creature anymore and he let out a small sigh of relief.

Suddenly the creature leapt out at him and the seer was able to get a good look at it as it stood at its full height. It looked like the horrible combination of a stitchpunk and a machine. One of its eyes was glowing red while the others was slanted like 1's, it's cloth skin was tattered and torn, being made of dirty burlap and denim and held closed by safety pins. It's arms and legs had been replaced with deadly claws and he was covered in stains of what looked like dried blood. The number 0 was on its chest. 6 gasped and backed away a bit. "N-no...Not you!" He ran as fast as he could from the creature but it followed him, running on all fours to catch up. It started biting at the seer's heels, making 6 just run faster. "Help! Somebody, please!" 6 yelled out desperately.

0 dropped back a bit, letting 6 get a little further ahead. It started to herd him, leaping forward and clawing at him whenever the seer got off course. 6 wasn't sure but he could have sworn he heard the creature chuckle. It started chasing the seer up a junk pile, but just as the striped stitchpunk reached the top of the pile he tripped on some scrap and was sent hurtling down, gasping in pain as he felt his leg get ripped open just before he hit the ground.

For a moment 6 lay there, whimpering as his whole body began to ache from the fall. He looked up as a shadow fell across him and immediately wished he hadn't done that. 0 was looking down at him from nearby, a look of what could only be described as pure joy on his face.

He raised one of his claws to deliver the final blow...

Anyway, this is my entry for the 'Scenes from a Sequel' contest over at . It's also a little preview for my massive sequel-fic I'm writing, so I hope you like it so far.
