You can read DragonBall Reboot here: www.deviantart.com/ginereboot/…Today I want to bring you a tribute to one fanmanga that I'm really enjoying, DragonBall Reboot. It tell an alternative scenario in the DragonBall story where Gine, Goku's mother, came to Earth to look for her son.

Goku and the others arrive on Planet Namecc and come across Frieza. Gine doesn't fight because she feels a lot of fear in front of the tyrant, but something changes: Goku, after using the Spirit Bomb against Frieza, runs to meet his mother, happy with the victory: Gine is extremely happy, but... her beloved son is pierced in the chest by a Frieza's Death Beam, who survived. The tyrant took advantage of Goku's distraction to hit him in this vile manner.
Goku, in Gine's arms, asks tearful forgiveness for having been so imprudent, and begs her to run away... and then die. Frieza, convinced that no one can beat him now, is preparing to kill Gine too. At this point, Gine is furious: first her husband and now her son. The anger she feels is incalculable, and allows her to transform herself into a Super Saiyan.
Yes, I think Gine will be the first to transform. I never understood why Frieza, after surviving the Spirit Bomb, decides to kill Piccolo, then Crilin. Would it not be logical to kill Goku right away, since he was tired and weak? Moreover he was undoubtedly the most dangerous fighter for him.

I love Goku, don't get me wrong, but if he was killed by Frieza Gine would go crazy and become Super Saiyan. Please , do it, it would be great!

This is awesome Striker! Being a Gine fan and all As for why Frieza killed Piccolo, is because Piccolo got in the way to save Goku from the attack that would've hit Goku. Frieza then killed Krillin because... Well just watch this video of what Frieza says after when Goku tells Gohan and Krillin to leave the planet.
Also Frieza wanted Goku to suffer from his friend and son death. Frieza's character shows what his personality is. He likes to make people suffer.

Interesting concept.
As for why Frieza didn't kill Goku right away, he wanted him to suffer as much as possible before dying. To be fair, nobody knew exactly what a Super Saiyan really was, or how to become one until that point...

It could almost be considered a Deus Ex Machina, if not for the fact that the legend of the Super Saiyan had been referenced several times beforehand... But it was so awesome, it didn't really matter anyway.
