I don't really think it's out of the realm of possibility for Shepard to have aged that much in twenty years; it's a canon option for her to have gray/graying hair in ME3 alone, and there are plenty of older characters present in the game that are around the age she's presented as here (Hackett, as an example is 52 and he's pretty well-worn). 

Her actual age and re-building aside, Rea goes through a lot of shit - particularly after the war is over and done with - that definitely ages her.

Ah, so I take it Rea's a Paragon?

My Sheperd was *always* Paragon but punching her was just too funny sometimes!  

Plus it made her learn some hand to hand skills in ME3.

Rea's definitely a Paragon, yeah. Punching Khalisah was just way too much of a dick move for her, especially since she's pretty much a super-soldier with advanced combat training and Khalisah was just...an annoying civilian reporter.

I wanna believe Khalisah got a better job after the war, though.  I actually really loved the (Paragon) interactions with her, especially in #3.

Same here, but it was always good for a laugh. 

That and punching Manuel on Eden Prime in Mass Effect 1 then saying "It's just a little bump on the head"

The Paragon interaction in #3 was definetly my favorite, although even in #2 it was pretty cool. Reciting the names of all the Human ships that gave "their" lives to save the Council (if you choose that option).

I was too Paragon to do any of those renagade moves with my main Sheperd, Michael.
