Yeah, DQVII is one of my favourites, particularly due to the fact that it was the first one I played outside of Dragon Quest Monsters (I wish VII wasn't so hard to find...). I have since acquired two of the three DS remakes, Rocket Slime, DQM: Joker, DQ Swords, and Dragon Quest IX. I'm hoping to nab the VI remake when it comes down in price, and I'm looking forward to DQM: Joker 2.
You ever been to Woodus? It's one of the best DQ fansites I know of.

Oh hiiii, ha ha. Yeah, there aren't too many fans of Dragon Quest out there... Well, there are a few who love VIII and IX, but never played the others...
I just liked the setting and characters and storyline of VII. Plus the graphics were basically perfect in every way to me.
I have 3, 7, 8, 4, 5, and 6 for the DS, and... 9. And then Monsters 1, 2, Joker, and Caravan Heart (the translated ROM). THEY'RE SUCH AMAZING GAMES! Except I've have yet to play 9, and I never beat 8...
Although I heard Joker 2 might not come out in America... Which is so lame. It looks really good.

Impressive collection!
I wish there weren't so many holes in terms of NA releases. Caravan Heart, Slime Morimori, the SNES/SFC remakes of I, II and III, the PS2 remake of V, DQ Swords Arcade, DQM Battle Road, the original SNES/SFC releases of V and VI...lots of great stuff we missed out on. Thank goodness for imports and fan translation! X3

Yeah, I was talking about Dragon's Den. The forums aren't greatly active, but they've got a nice little community set up there. I look at the forums and site news every now and then to get details on the latest DQ stuff.

Ha ha, well... everything BUT Monsters 1, 2, Joker, and DQ 3, 7, and 8 are ROMs. So I only own six games. But still. It's their fault for not releasing things in English.
Well, ONE PERSON said Joker 2 wouldn't come to America. So maybe it will... I just wonder where he got his information... I bet Dragon's Den will let us know.

Wooooooooooow... I loved that game. Well, wait. Was the DS one in North America a remake of the first one for GBA in Japan? I think I read that somewhere... so are we missing one?

Yeah, the first one never got released. And while the non-tank portion of the game is similar in gameplay to Slime Morimori, Rocket Slime is not a remake. From what I have seen from preview pictures, the third one looks like its ship battles play similar to the tank battles in Rocket Slime, though I wouldn't put it past Squeenix and TOSE to throw some new surprises in. :3

I know that Japan is having a promotion at McDonald's to get Stella (DQ IX fairy), an armoured Toku-ish slime warrior called Slider Hero and a possible arch-nemesis to Slider Hero called Shinigami Slidark (I couldn't get a look at his picture in the promotional flyer). Though, I think that's for Joker 2 Pro. It'd make sense, what with J2P coming out shortly.
I'm hoping that if there is a localized version of Joker 2, we get a modified version of Joker 2 Pro. It'd be a real bummer if they pulled that sort of Pokemon-ish tactic over here.

I tried to play a Dragon Quest game on my PS2. The disk read ERROR.
I talked to my friend, he said sometimes the first original PS2's cant read the newer PS2 game CD's.

Oh, do you use a tablet for pixel stuff? I think I tried and it was just too weird... I always use just a regular mouse because my hand is too shaky when I'm holding a pen for my tablet. I think I just need practice.
Yeah, um... Spooky and Drakslime. I think I like the Drakslime, the Dracky (the little bat), and myself the best. The other monsters look kind of plain and/or rushed or something...
