I was listening to "THE BEAST II" and then I got inspired to draw this: Eva Unit 01 bursting out of Leliel, the twelfth Angel.Download for full-sized.

I always found this scene to be spectacular horrifying, even by Evangelion standards.
That sphere was just the *shadow* of Leliel.Β Yet still it was torn apart and bleed as though it were living, and Unit 01 didn't rip its way out of Leliel's body, the dirac sea it fell into--it came out of the shadow, and Leliel still died.Β There's something fundamentally disturbing about that.

Leliel was normally halfway outside of our universe, when Uni-01 decided to pull a chestburster, it forced Leliel into our universe completely.Β

lol at first I looked at this and was like... wait what is this... but I knew it had to be Eva. Of course. its just so interesting to draw o__o how can we not draw Eva?! I love it... the hand coming out of the top really adds to the effect... and its so scary. ^_^ yay good job!

oooh, the hand is my favorite. it's like a treasure after searching on a treasure map... and by the way, your myspace comment scared me and now im too scared to watch the end of blood+. i dont want it to be sad!!! i want it to be super happy!!! :'( oh well... im trying to mentally prepare myself for anything. i don't want to spend the rest of this month really depressed and sad....

Anyway, sorry for possibly ruining Blood+ for you. But it's suuuuuch a good ending. Try not to be depressed for a month.
