Description (Such a witty title. Ah.)

I really should be doing something else. Something way more important, wild-westy and with sucky perspective. Which are probably good reasons why I did this instead.

Good excuse is, that I really needed break from doing that, and also this one didn't take long and is quite sketchy.

Just after finishing I realised that this brownish thingy, which was supposed to look like a weird guy in weird cloak and even weirder tophat, probably came to my subconsciousness straight from Nightmare Before Christmas (check out the Mayor guy). From the very beginning I knew he reminds me of something, and this picture just came to my mind from the abyss of randomness, so yeah, such inspiration might be possible, yes.
However, now I look at this... he resembles also this monk (also, check it out because of it being fantastic.):

BUT: Tadadadum- colours! Amazing! Isn't that good excuse for lack of creativity, yay!

You mean smudge tool in Photoshop?
I think the best way to not oversmudge things is to not use smudge, in fact. I try to not use smudge at all, and I didn't use it here; and, also, most of my favourite artists on DA seem to not use it at all.
Yeah...

Unless you meant something else.

It is what I meant ^^I think it's because I can never be borthered to play around with brush opacity :/

Haha In such case smudge is inevitable, indeed

You could use tablet's pressure sensitivity instead of setting one brush opacity (however you might need to set this in Photoshop or tablet options first). Then the opacity depends on how hard you press the pen and changes smoothly during strokes, and it might feel more natural, like traditional pencils, pens and stuff. That's what I used here, either. I changed brush opacity from 100% to less only about two-three times for some minor parts of work.

Dude, this is SO good. I simply love the colors and the layout is STUNNING. And yes, a little mayor-ish, now that you point that out. haha. But that doesn't matter, and a cool design should be anywhere and as many places as possible. This is truly wonderful. BIG fave!
