I've never seen a carnosaurus with feathers.

Carnotaurus is Late Cretaceous/South America. Antarctopelta is Early? Cretaceous/Antarctica (surprise). They would have never fought.

The two dinosaurs lived around the same time, and Carnotaurus lived in southern Argentina which was connected to Antarctica at the time.

Well, there is apparently a record of a Carnotaurus in antarctica. While the time range is still incorrect, if it's confirmed, it's good to know

1. the tail should be stiff
2. the osteoderms should be larger
anyways, it is a good drawing!

Did they actually coexist? Still, this would look cool!

I'm saying that the speculative feathers are a bold touch.

I got no preference either way as to feathery or scaly back Carnotaurus, though just as a reminder to me in case I missed anything; were feathers recently found on it or a closely related Abelisaur?

Fav'd, if only for the sheer 'fuck you, fanboys' attitude it must have taken to give Carnotaurus feathers.

I very much appreciate the amount of feathers you put on your dinosaurs, people are generally far to conservative, but you went as far as to give an animal with preserved scale impressions on most of its body feathers, so tons of kudos for that.
It obviously also looks amazing visually, so credit for that too.

Though I prefer the idea of an armored-backed Carnotaurus, the design used here is still great.

We also found a actual feathered(type 3 feathered appearently,)Β Neornithischian,Β among other undescribed specimens. This most likely means feathers/quills/protofeathers are basal to Dinosaurs. What says that Carnotaurus wouldn't have a quill stripe going down it's back? We never found impressions on the top half of the animal, so there's room for speculation. Also, all known endotherms are known with some sort of insulation. Pterosaurs, birds and mammals have them, and certainly Dinosaurs were endotherms. Although some would of lost them at the most part, like Sauropods.
Jeesh, you're treating this if this was a wooly-Carnotaurus or something.Β
