Description
I'm a strong believer in delayed gratification.Okay, I'm a bit of a tease, but I always loved this experience as a reader and I want to pass it on.
The advantage of a serialized format like fanfiction is that you can use real time as a storytelling device. Waiting is part of reading. Readers must take it a chapter at a time. Find the core of the story, the motivation of the characters, the reader's desire, and play with it. Polish it up and make it big and beautiful. Give them a good look at it, but keep it just out of reach. Sure it'll drive people crazy, but when they finally, finally make it to that goal the payoff will be so much sweeter.
Cheers,

Hm. This kind of dampens any enthusiasm/hope I had for finishing anything ever. XD

Oh come on now, that's just depressing. If you can make it work differently, then do it that way. I'm just talking about what works for me and what I feel like are good practices.

I completely agree XD and what better way to show it then with Danny! It's part of the fun of fanfics you have to read on chapter at a time and wait for the next. If the author is good you come back for more. Brilliant! XD Also this could work in the writer's perspective too because when you write you are the one dangling the treat in front of the reader.
Over all your author note and your comic is brilliant!

He was so nice to give me a hand.
I think the serialization format is really fun. That's why people go nuts over ongoing tv shows and season finales. It becomes part of your life, almost. And you're right, there is that double meaning in there. Writers should learn very carefully not to give the readers what they want too fast. Conflict (ie, wanting something but not getting it) is what makes a story thrive.
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
