Keep your cool, Dani. A meltdown's not gonna help with this problem... you've gotta pull yourself together.Okay, enuff with the bad jokes.
Drawn for Phanniemay, Day 14. I rather like Dani. She often gets a bad rap because she was so sadly under-developed in canon, but she has a lot of interesting potential. That combination of spunk and vulnerability is somehow really endearing to me.

It greatly impressed me in the show when Dani chose death over slavery. It just helped establish the degree she'd learnt from Danny's iron determination never to give up in the face of evil.

I love her characters as well....I mean I understand people not liking her but I really feel like the "canon sue" label doesn't fit. She has a total of TWO episodes Β and the second one wasΒ hastilyΒ wrapping up her story. Β Also her episode struck me as being very reveloutionary because of how often cartoons treat clones as not human and mindless copies. (As much as I love MLP:FiM the way they dealt with Pinkie's clones...*shudder*) Β So she is original in that right. Β

Dani is probably my favorite character on the show, and gotta agree with the bad rap thing.
Really love the use of both blue and green for her eyes, as well as the ectoplasm from her body. Nice and gooey. XD

I *hated* Dani when I first saw Kindred Spirits. Talk about a canon Sue. But she really grew on me when I started really thinking about what her existence meant for Danny, what Vlad *did* to Danny to bring her into existence. I mean, can you get any closer to rape than stealing someone's DNA and making a person out of it without their consent or permission? ::shudder:: And yet, look at how Danny reacts to her. Look at what *she's* been through and what Danny must mean to *her.* So much potential for story there. Plus, she's rather spunky. I love the turnaround she does in KS.

You know, actually... a Dani spinoff would have been pretty awesome. I was a bit skeptical about the idea at first, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like it would have been really fun. Not that it's likely to happen now.
