Someone had asked I do a 'how-to-draw-Link' sort of thing...so here's something that should cover it. Warning: big picture!I think I covered about everything, hopefully this can help someone.
Why are Link's ears so big, you ask? There's this theory I have...but that's a story for another day.
EDIT: I shrank it a bit 'cause people were complaining, but you aren't supposed to see the entire thing at once. Also I added the sheath, fixed his shoes, and drew him with a ponytail for those who read the manga.

to make things perfectly clear... THEY'RE LEGGIINGS! NOT TIGHTS! leggings were made from just about anything from linen(like links) to leather, depending on location and weather. they were often worn by hunters in thick forests because they rarely got caught on branches.
why do i know this? i found an old book on medieval apparal. those folks wore the weirdest shit...

Dude...Link is not skinny. He's very built and athletic, go look in the OoT players guides or at the manga. But I still love how you draw him anyway he looks funny.

I like the descriptions, but from all the official art I have (and believe me, I collect it for a living!) Link is not the only one with ears that big. Most Hylians have very large ears, although there are some who's are smaller. Link also has two earrings, one in each ear, not just the left. I spent time with that one on the game itself (got really close to a corner in a dungeon and looked at his ears...dunno why though.) And he is skinny, but has a bit of muscle. Sorry if I sound like a know-it-all...I'm rally not trying to...I just studied the art a LOT for refrence for my many, many, many, MANY Link pictures that's I've drawn........*strokes pic of Link*..........what?

Great character sketch! Good descriptions, too. Only I don't think his gloves are in two peices--the red stripes are just bands that hold the gloves on, like the buckled belt-band that holds his boots on.
Nice job in drawing the hair. Really looks good. That hairstyle still makes me do double-takes.... When I first played the begining of Wind Waker, all I could do was run Link around the place and gawk at how much he looked exactly like the main character in my webcomic, Lute. Ironically, they're both left-handed, too.

In the bit about Link's physical description, you described a guy I know. Except he doesn't look like Link face-wise or anything.... It'd be so cool if he did, though.....

This is by far the best picture of Link I have seen yet, it definately shows you have done your research on the character. Also, the guidelines were pretty nifty, most people don't even bother to use them unless they're a.) deprived of the ways of drawing >< or b.) just so good they don't htink they need them. I'm still amazed at how much character you've given him, it totally suites him
