Description
I'm so smart, because I apologize for minor copy+paste in one comic and then the next week I do a comic really heavy on it. I'll just rip the C and V keys off my keyboard so it never happens again.I realized shortly after drawing this that the joke was atually pretty inaessable to just about eeryone who hasn't played Fire Emblem -- and een then, it's really kindof lame and badly-organized anyway -- so I guess this was just failure on multiple leels.
BUT WE LIE AND WE LEARN.
So! Right!
I think that a harater beoming poisoned in Fire Emblem, losing minimal hunks of damage oer a series of turns, an be a bit of a blessing in disguise. You ould just ure it and be rid of it
immediately, sure, but sometimes it's just more fun to draw it out and make a healer restore the minor damage eery turn instead, resulting in a steady flow of preious, preious experiene points. The poisonee might not enjoy it, buuut we all make sarifies.

I was about to ask you if there was something wrong with your keyboard.
Then I looked up and saw the 'rip the C and V keys' thing.
All hilarious, the comic and the description XD

Awesome. And TWO things were learned: an easy way to practice spells at minimal expense and that it is actually possible to rip the C and V keys off the keyboard. Excellent!

Good way to level up your healing class.
I pity the poor victim, though. Even though you did the whole copy-paste deal here, I think it actually looks better than way. You know, repetition and all that.

i watched my roommate play Fire Emblem (i forget the title, but it was for GC) and ... he did the SAME FUCKING THING MOST EVERY BATTLE!!! DX
He never got much on bonus experience post-battle, but he made sure he leveled up whoever needed it ... such is the curse of that game.

are you kidding...that was the only way to level the healers up...sometimes I would purposely poisen my characters just so my healer could one day do SOMETHING useful. It was either that or sometimes I would put them agienst someone they couldn't hope to kill and keep healing them from behind. Does that make me a terrible person?

I totally do this exact thing when playing fire emblem. I get about halfway through the game and realise my healing characters and underpowered so I do things like this. I can't imagine they like me as a tactician very much.

Hehehe, the healers XP battery, I have known of D&D sessions with similar activities, there was a character that took x damage each round, the healer would heal him until all his spells were used up, then turn him to stone, rest to regain spells and turn him back to flesh and begin the vicious cycle all over again, the cleric gained several levels that way

Heh. Another example of poison problems is in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. In it, I just leave my poisoned characters poisoned. In about three/four turns, the poison goes away on its own.

Anecdotal evidence: I got the joke and I've never played Fire Emblem. Then again I've been steeped in video games since about 1987. You'll find players performing similarly silly actions in Shining Force and World of Warcraft.
