I can't tell you how but I can tell you Link's motives. Link was always hearing Malon Holler giddy up to the horses. All he could get epona to do was giddy forward or giddy backwards. His curiosity got the better of him as hew was dying to see Epona giddy "up"

Oh,yea I totally understand this comic. I get Epona stuck in places all the time. Either her rear end in a cliff wall or upside down in a lake. I hate those glitches, but sometimes what comes out of them, I have to call my family and say "You aren't going to believe this. Look."

Well you know you can actually get Epona stuck in a tree. Not exactly "up" the tree but somehow i managed to get Epona stuck in one of those trees outside the path to Kokiri forest in OoT. Stupid horse

I would do that. Defying the laws of physics and such is always good fun! I also end up throwing stuff at other stuff that's stuck in a high place (and getting that stuff stuck up there to also throw stuff at) instead of using our ridiculously large rake. It's seriously the most frikkin' enormous rake in existence! Is it the mighty Zeus's rake or something?
