Description
UPDATE: I added a better water splash and clouds there! looks way cooler now! C:UPDATE 20th Nov: Shard has gone through a slight color edit and minor shading improvements. There will be more changes to come as I'm still tweakin it a bit here and there.
ASK ME FIRST IF YOU WANT TO USE. YOU CAN USE IT AS DESKTOP WALLPAPER, BUT DONT CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN. I ALSO WANT TO BE CREDITED AND NOTIFIED WHERE AND HOW YOU ARE USING THIS. Thank you!

Blue skies, rivers of gold
Bring to my heart
The stories of old
I remember the way to begin
Lead by all my grace
And a brave hand of peace
The air will lift us, our hearts a gift as
We feel the release
The breaking of dawn
I see the wind and the breeze
Will carry us home,
Joining us all in unified love
The sweetness of peace
More precious than gold,
The tender compassion
That gives elation as we behold
Break of dawn is coming,
With wisdom, wind and breeze,
Touching on the seas.
So here in our hearts
lay way to our home
Where all find comfort,
Blue skies, rivers of gold

OMGWTFBBQ. THIS ONE TOOK ME FOREVER (>30h?
This is 's character Shard, made it for him because he caught my 5,000th kiribian. I tweaked his design a bit, so it's a bit different than the original version
Initially, I *just* wanted to try out photoshop and never would have expected it to come out THIS detailed.
Oh and btw, I think the song I posted here pretty much suits the mood in this picture too. I was listening to it (almost) the entire time. :3
I'm aware that there are a few mistakes still, for instance I don't really like how the legs came out, or the water splash. And I've never drawn a starfish before
THIS NEEDS TO BE CELEBRATED
Note: added a watermark to it to prevent art theft.

I really never thought about that this dragon's color and mane is creating the proud impression at the point when I painted it. It's interesting how I still used this rather unconsciously
I see what you mean with that water splash - I never really did anything like that before and realize that it doesn't have the same quality. I will definately work on that once I figure out how to paint a water splash better. I will maybe update this piece after I practiced a little.
Thank you so much for taking the time for this the detailed critique! C: I really appreciate it!

Not a problem! And water can be very hard! I'm sure you'll get the hang of it after you practice some more (I'm not even sure I would be able to get the water quite right myself >.<)
You'd be surprised too how much you know subconsciously in art, you might have learned about the royal colors when you where young in school and it always stayed with you, even with the main from watching movies and the discovery channel. We take it all in and the great thing about having the mindset we do to be able to draw is it all flows out on paper whether we realize it or not. That's why sometimes it's good to have some else tell you what they see in your work because they will see things you don't.

yeah, you got a point there. I think that's what art makes interesting. I like getting other people's opinions about my art to for the same reason. I remember that I've read that the color purple is the color of kings. I believe also the church uses it as color, too, so it's kind of religious or "divine".

I believe it is the color the Catholic Pope wears if we are correct. And Bishops too. It interesting how much one color/ symbol has gained so much meaning just from creating a hard to make dye.

It looks excellent. Love the detail and contrast of colours. The clouds in the background propose the anticipation
of a storm, the dragon resilient welcomes it approach. Stunning work.

Ooh! WOW! That is a fabulous dragon!!! I like him. have you considered giving him a name? all creatures that look so proud (even if they are just pictures) should have names.
