Destroyers were doing their job well enough in space but soon bigger and better-armored enemy ships started to appear, and at the same time, destroyers weren't that effective against ground forces. The HIA needed a bigger, better-armored ship that could support the smaller destroyers and the ground forces. The 'Liberatia' class space frigate was the first space warship to initiate the line of bigger space warships as it was three times longer than a 'Kosatka' destroyer. It had an entirely new body construction. It again featured the new cylindrical space engine model. This time however it had a decently sized hangar which could store 4 fighters, 4 dropships, 5 light ground vehicles,4 APCs and 2 automated bipedal main battle tanks. The armament of the frigate consisted mostly of projectile-based weaponry - one heavy anti-spacecraft railgun turret, 7 multi-purpose railgun turrets, 2 aa twin-cannon manually operated high-caliber machine gun turrets, 24 automated aa minigun turrets, 4 twin-cannon multipurpose railgun turrets, 1 twin-cannon railgun turret and a small arsenal of 20 guided missiles. This ship was also the first model to feature the drone swarm shield defense system (DSSDS) - a large group of small drones swarms around the ship to protect it against enemy attacks, the swarm can be guided to protect a particular spot of the ship which allows for making tactical decisions during critical situations. The ship was good for air-to-air combat and the addition of hangars allowed it to support ground forces with troops, vehicles, etc. unlike the 'Kosatka' destroyer which could only shoot at ground targets but still had limited range on its multipurpose turrets. Because putting so many automated weapon systems in place, in such a large spaceship hadn't been attempted before the first prototypes manufactured had quite a lot of construction problems and system failures. However, most of its problems were fixed and the ship soon became the next most produced warship in the human space fleet. The ship excellently cooperated with destroyers and other spaceships and was really effective both in defense and offense. There was at least one of these orbiting every human colony and at least one in every space platoon. This model paved the way for the far bigger and more powerful space warships to come.
