Nicely job on the foreshortening and perspective, the exaggerated fisheye lens really makes it look dynamic! It's always nice seeing fanart of Thousand-Year Door, the best Mario RPG in my opinion.

Oh my goodness, this is an absolutely amazing job, you've captured this boss fight perfectly!Β Β
The characters have energy and a fluid sense of motion, especially Cortez, who you've given an amazing sense of scale! I love the fun perspective you were able to give this from his outstretched weapons coming towards Mario and Bobbery and how he towers over the both of them, it reflects very well how difficult and intimidating this boss was! You've made him look very threatening and scary in this picture, and he looks just fantastic! 
The coloring is chilling and ghostly, I love the cool blue prevalent throughout the whole picture from the groups of Embers floating in the background, the spooky mist gathered along the floor, Cortez's glowing eyes, and even the red from his scarf and Mario himself having a more purplish hue than a vibrant red (the blue highlights and lighting makes this really feel like it's taking place on a haunted ghost ship <333); your shading is also very clean and smooth (really love how you did the lighting on Cortez's face and his swords! 
You did a seriously awesome job recreating this boss encounter, it really takes me back aha

TTYD is one of my favourite RPGs, and Cortez is one of my favourite bosses from that game. And you certainly did an amazing job with it 8D
