my 2nd entry to the Bromance project anthology~I am honestly very proud of this project
And without *ameru 's cooperation in organizing this, it would have been either too hard to do or not even possible. Everything came together better than I thought, and most of all it wouldn't have happened without all the artists that participated.Thank you again!

i know i am missing lots of things significant to each nation, but i tried to put in at least the most iconic and recognizable things to each country. so don't get your panties in a bunch if something from your nation is missing
Also, I have no intention of representing anything negative with them having their backs facing each other. I originally worked on America first, but then decided to add Canada as a companion piece for the book, and I wanted the compositions reflective off of each other. This is simply to depict national pride!

and yes, i know the beaver is the national canadian animal but i wanted to put kumajiro there instead. cuz its aph and all. but beavers are in there somewhere anyway haha

i know the older canada flag has the union jack, however, the maple leaf flag i feel is the most representative flag of canada. this picture is about history, but it is also more about national pride. i'm no canadian, so i don't know how canadians would feel if i'm more accurate and use the union-jack version of the flag instead.

I live in Canada, and the only place I've ever seen a polar bear is the marine park in California. But I appreciate you using a more... idk... well... not a beaver. xD

I'm Canadian, and I think the use of our more recent flag is fine. The newer flag is probably easier to draw as well.

Canada doesn't really have that "national pride" thing anyway... I've only met one or two super patriotic folks... most of us are pretty chill about it. Like, "yeah, I'm Canadian. We have better doughnuts and spell things properly. What of it?"

Also, as a Canadian, although I love Arthur to pieces, I like our current flag better than the one that had the Union Jack on it. So thank you for recognizing our separate identity.

It's very well done, but I'm afraid your original intention is going to be misinterpreted as-is. Seems extremely negative about US/CAN relations, and could also be interpreted to mean destruction of their respective culture. ***DEBBY DOWNER*** Sorry if I'm the only one who saw this.

Canada has the wrong flag for this piece :I
If going by uniform, and some time sequence (as USA has his Thirteen Star Colonial flag) than at this point Canada should have the Union Jack, as still being a colony of Briton. The Maple Leaf wasn't adopted as Canada's flag until the late sixties.
Other than that great piece; I like what you're trying to symbolize here, and great angles and shading along with proportions.

Technically, the flag that we Canadians used to have prior to the current one was the Red Ensign. It did have a Union Jack, but located in the corner, much like Australia's flag. Several provincial flags are still modeled this way.

Well considering the uniform, wouldn't Canada have the full Union Jack flag up when fighting under the British army??
