Ha ha ha ha! Actually, learning the piano helps with the violin. It helps you with scales, and it works your fingers ^.^ I would suggest getting a teacher, though. I taught myself...I can play, but don't ask me to do anything too hard! ^.^

Yep, I did ^.^ It was pretty easy 'cause I could already read treble cleff, I just needed to learn base--and practice a lot!

Nah, I'm nothing special ^.^ Anybody could beat me at either instrument. I play my violin for myself, for the energy it gives me ^.^ If you ever find that the violin (or any other instrument) gives you that same energy, or as long as you love the instrument and enjoy it, the rest will fall into place. Though, you do have to work at it some! ^.^
I am pretty sure that if you started playing the violin, you'd be great in no time ^.^
