Yes I know I didn't use a tripod. I use one for almost all of my images but chose not to on this one, and I like it that way so don't even mention it if you are going to pee yourself in anguish. Thank you.

No tripod needed! It really adds something. The pose is sensational, why ask for crit? Who in their right mind could say anything but that this is remarkable. This might be my favourite yet of your work. No doubt you will produce more.

I can't imagine why anyone would criticize you for not using a tripod here. You captured it perfectly as is. The warm colors are pleasing, and way the spotlight on the wall frames the figure really accentuates the curves. Your posture and positioning are spot-on, and that includes the arm holding the camera. You created a very interesting and intriguing composition with your body shape.

I need to get out my corset and take some pictures with it. It's kind of difficult to put on and lace up by myself though

The lighting is gorgeous. You're washing out a tiny bit on your forearm maybe, but I always get washed out bits like that so I'm not really one to talk
At first I thought the non-tripod thing was a bad idea, but the more I look at it the more sense it makes. I just don't know what else your left arm would be doing in this pose. I've got to agree with ~NameHerTemperance on this being one of few to pull off this sort of self portrait well.
Hmm.... maybe if the left arm was turned down your back, palm out? With your shoulder bent in and down slightly to add to the curl of the pose.
Er, hope that makes sense.

Yes, I do like the usage of your arm and hand instead of the tripod in this one. Somehow it fits, just with your pose and the fact that your arm is cut off by the camera shot, it works very well. I think this is quite possibly one of the few pieces that has been able to successfully pull off the self portrait like this. Very nicely done. Great tones too.

It is a huge compliment, and it was meant to be. Most people will take a million pictures like that and throw them all up, hoping someone likes some of them, but in this you just put up one, a single photo and your attitude is clearly 'screw it, I like it' and I think it works. Very nicely done.
