In fact, it may be possible that he...or at least someone related to him, lives in Patch Land. Evergreen Lift in the Snow Land area might be a place you would want to explore.((Kirby's Epic Yarn is the only game in the Kirby series that includes something legitimately Christmas-related, and it isn't even in Dream Land to begin with. There's a New Year's festival in the anime, but that's it. There's really no significant reason for them to celebrate this holiday anyway. The only thing they have that's anywhere close to a god is Kabu. I suppose one could argue that cultural diffusion might've brought Christmas over while losing the religious significance, but from where? Adeleine was the only human resident, and I don't think Meta Knight ever had any real exposure to it.))

The original purpose of Christmas was to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, believed to be the son of God by Christians and those of related faiths. The actual birth date is unknown, but the holiday was decided to be held on December 25th in order to coincide with Pagan celebrations and to eventually spread the religion through those means. These Pagan traditions included decorating evergreen trees, which would later be used to store gifts until Christmas morning. The gifts represent those given to Jesus by three wise men who visited his birthplace sometime afterwards.
Another Christian holiday, Easter, is held in the spring and celebrates Jesus's death. The general story goes that Jesus sacrificed himself in order to allow his followers into the afterlife after they die. He took the place of another man who was being sentenced to an execution method known as crucifixion, and three days after his dying breath, he left his physical form to tell others the good news before returning to God; that they would be given everlasting life in heaven so long as they remain faithful. Traditions for this day include dyeing eggs in various colors, representing the new life promised and possibly a Pagan tradition as well. Many believe that the "second coming of Christ" will mark the end of the world, but such an event has yet to occur.
