I think I need to clear something up.
These attacks are based on moves she would do in a fighting game, based on the strength of the button pressed. In this case, a standing "powerful" kick is equivalent to a standing "roundhouse" in Street Fighter or "Heavy Kick" in Marvel VS games.
You could interpret this as a kick where she hops into the air and kicks.
