#Linktober Day 24 & 25! Link and fav character! Link is by far my favorite Legends of Zelda character. I absolutely love Twilight princess Link! I used copics mostly, but for the leather parts of his clothes a a couple other parts I used colored pencil! (thus why it's sort of reflective! best picture I could get XD ) I started this a couple weeks ago but didn't really have time to finish it up until last night! I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Sometimes I think it's easy for me to rush a drawing and be like ehhh good enough instead of pushing myself! Like his hair for example I knew it needed something else but almost just left it(and probably would have had I tried to do this whole drawing in one night) but instead I looked at some other artists copic pieces for a bit and thought to myself.."Okay, why do I like their drawing? Why do I like the hair?" then I noticed the way they added more lights and darks and such and was like ahh! Mine was too flat looking! So I think that turned out well! I do that for the skin too! I felt like it was a bit flat(and maybe it still is) but I looked through so copic drawings from other artists and thought about why liked the way they drew it so I fixed that up too! I also got a new copic skin color (E11!) and I love it!! I had been using gray to add shading but I noticed I liked the drawings more that just used skin tones to shade rather than grays. I think that marker is perfect to add shade for light skin tones!

I actually should probably start taking a couple day break from my drawings! I actually have found it does me more good! That way I have time to think and look over my drawing(I'll normally take a picture of it and study it). This is of course if I'm doing a drawing that doesn't matter when I post it(my linktober drawings I didn't do this at all!). For my nicer drawings I'm able to spend more time on I think some time apart is good for us XD
