No worries, I'm just not particularly compatible with the franchise it seems. 
I don't have anything against the show, though, and I have a plethora of friends who love it, so I have to appreciate the franchise for all the ways it's inspired people. That I can certainly respect and appreciate!

I can understand that. It's like how I'll watch Supernatural, but given a choice, I'll probably chose another program. If you like ultra-realism, though, I would highly, highly recommend Newsroom, if you haven't already seen it. That is a fantastic, intelligent series based around real-life events.

My pleasure. There are only three seasons of Newsroom, but the story telling is never rushed and it is all about these American journalists on a news network and their attempts to report the news instead of sensationalise it. It's from HBO. You should definitely take a look at it.
