I'm happy that you like my first macro experiment with onion Need to learn a bit more. But I like colours I can get and the light and textures. I would love to get closer but I would need a microscope I hope you are well! Have a fantastic weekend!

I like this a lot!  It is very mysterious, and the composition is great.  Did you use a Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8?  There might be some ways of getting closer than this without a microscope.

I use extension tubes as well!  There is a way to get even more magnification, though: with bellows.  The downside is that a 60mm lens (on bellows) will have to be very close to the subject at high magnification (quite possibly less than 2cm).  You will get to the point at which the lens will cast a shadow on the photo, and it will be hard to angle the light properly.  Longer lenses such as the 105mm reduce this problem.  I look forward to seeing more of your macro work, as well as everything else that you shoot!

Thank you! It's very kind of you! It's not easy at all, but I'm getting there. I'm quite happy with last picture I posted today. Love the light and blurred areas  we can get using tubes. Have a wonderful Sunday!
