I was just thinking about this quote that got stuck in my head- 'Life can be so pretty sometimes.' and though this doesn't actually have much to do with the quote, it sort of started from there. i wasn't sure about the pink. God, when I take my glasses off I can't even see the keyboard to type. that's scary.Related content

The other girl is still on me wearing make up and i jokingly complain to my friend and he seemed all cuz he had such a grr-ish face "i'm gonna kill you" and he started like yelling at her. She said "wouldnt she look pretty with make up and he's like "NO!" "SHE'S PRETTY WITHOUT MAKE UP!!!" "Aww! Thank you Sir!" (we call eachother [among others] Sir) like 5 mins later he told me he hated me b/c I didnt hate Obama ...
I was kinda depressed the rest of the day ...

This is made out of all kinds of win. Not only do I like the art style, but so many people tell me what I should do to be pretty. And, though I don't brutally murder them, it sort of makes me want to. Instead, I just do exactly the opposite of what they tell me to do. I look good in contacts? Get thicker glasses! I'd look pretty if I got a haircut? Take it to an extreme and shave my head! I'd look pretty if I smiled more? Glower at everyone! I'd look pretty if I wore brighter colors? Take it down to black and white!
OK, this comment is too long and I'm stopping now. What I'm trying to say is, this thing. It is awesome.

I'm not riding on your comic, I think it is halarious, but I just wanted to point out that the thing you drew is not Katana. Just saying. How ever I do not want the mistake in weaponary to detract from the pure awesomeness of the drawing. The punch line isn't funny, the funny part is that the bratty bitch got a sharpened cricket board to the head. HAHAHA!!!!

Well, of course it doesn't look exactly like a katana. It had to fit inside a pencil. I may be almost supernaturally good at precision engineering and metallurgy, but I'm not Wonderwoman.

You know, those girls are kind of small minded but they mean well. Pretty makes them happy. They want you to be happy. They assume you would be happier if you were prettier, by their definitions. And everyone is prettier when they smile, it has less to do with stereotype and more to do with inner sincerity.
If you smile, it projects an optimism that attracts optimistic people. You represent yourself in your own image to attract people like yourself, or in a way that will attract the kind of people you want to surround yourself with. It has less to do with mindless judging and more to do with looking out for your happiness, if they bother to care.
